Taiwan: Acceptable Documents for Right to Work Verification

To perform a right to work check in Taiwan, the following documents can be accepted: ## Natural Citizens - _**For Taiwanese citizens with Household Registration:**_ - **ROC (Taiwan) Passport (with National ID/Personal ID number)** - **National ID (proof of household registration)** - _**For Taiwanese nationals without Household Registration:**_ - **ROC (Taiwan) Passport (without ID)* + Taiwan Area Resident Certificate (TARC) + Work Permit** _An ROC (Taiwan) Passport (without ID) usually belongs to a national without household registration. They could be overseas nationals or nationals with Taiwanese or Chinese descent. This means that even though they have an ROC Taiwanese passport, they won’t automatically have the right to work in Taiwan. Their passport won’t contain a National ID/Personal ID number and they’ll require a TARC and a Work Permit._ ## Foreign Nationals - **Work Permit + Work Visa** - **Taiwan Work Visa** - **Taiwan Residence Permit / Alien Residence Certificate (ARC)** - **Alien Permanent Resident Certificate (APRC)** - **Taiwan Employment Gold Card (for certain skilled professionals only)** - **Taiwan Working Holiday Visa** _The candidate must apply for an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) within 30 days of their arrival date into Taiwan. They are required to have this alongside their work permit and visa in order to stay in the country for longer than 90 days._ All of these documents can be uploaded securely through Zinc.
