How to Integrate Zinc Background Checks with Comeet
**Please note that CV checks are only available directly on Zinc. Comeet cannot currently be used with packages containing CV checks.**
## Step 1: Integrate Zinc
1. Copy your assessment API key in Comeet.
2. Add it to Zinc under the **Accounts** tab.
3. Click **Activate** in Comeet, and the integration will be live.
## Step 2: Add API key to Zinc
1. If you don't have a Zinc account, create one from this website.
2. Click on your name in the bottom left of the account.
3. Under **Company**, scroll to **Add API Key**, then paste your Comeet key here.
## Step 3: Add Zinc to your workflow
1. Click the **plus** button to add a step to your workflow in Comeet.
2. Select Zinc from the **Interview** dropdown menu.
3. Drag and drop Zinc to the appropriate point in your workflow where you want to reference your candidates.
## Step 4: Send check request
1. Once your candidate reaches the Zinc stage in Comeet, click **Select Test**.
2. Choose the questions set from the dropdown menu and click **Start**.
3. Be sure to inform your candidate to look out for a message from Zinc.
## What happens next
### Let Zinc work
- Zinc will contact your candidate via email and text, asking them to complete the background checks you have chosen.
- We will send automated reminders to ensure that you get your checks in good time.
### Track the progress
- You can view the status of each candidate’s checks in your ATS.
- We’ll notify you by email as soon as an individual check is completed.
### View insights
- View your candidate reports directly from your ATS to make better hiring decisions without leaving your ATS or HRIS.
