I Don't Recognise an Employer Showing Up in My Employment Verification Data

Our Employment Verification feature pulls your employment history data directly from your respective tax controller's database, such as HMRC in the UK or EPFO in India, through a third-party provider called Mistho. Zinc displays this data exactly as received and does not manipulate or alter any part of it. Because this feature relies solely on official tax data, it can sometimes include records of other payments such as benefits or pensions, along with wages. If you see an employer you don't recognise, first check whether it might relate to types of payments like Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) or pension plans. It is also possible that your previous employer is registered under a different company name or as part of a larger organisation. If you find an employer you don't recognise, you should verify whether this previous employer is registered under a different body or company. If you discover incorrect information in this data, it must be corrected directly with your tax controller or prior employer, as Zinc displays data exactly as provided by these official sources. If you want to remove or reset your employment verification section within Zinc, this requires confirmation from your recruiter or new employer. Because the data is pulled directly from government sources via tax records, Zinc cannot alter it without proper authorization. This policy ensures the employment verification remains a true and accurate representation of your employment history.
