Argentina Credit Judgment & Litigation Check
## What is the source of the data? ##
The data comes from **NOSIS**, an Argentinian credit bureau. NOSIS collects information from:
- The Central Bank of Argentina
- Banking and financial institutions in Argentina
## What is the process in Argentina? ##
1. The requesting party requests the check from their ATS or their Zinc account.
2. The candidate receives automated instructions to provide their details in a dynamic web form, including their consent.
3. Zinc submits the request to NOSIS.
4. Zinc receives the results digitally and provides a signed digital report.
5. The candidate receives a notification saying the process is complete.
## Details required to submit the check ##
- First name
- Last name
- Birth date
- Consent
- Government ID number: the ID card number from the candidate's national ID, or their CUIT *(tax number, 11 digits)*
## What is covered in the credit check? ##
The check covers citizens and foreigners lawfully residing in Argentina. The information is collected with the candidate's explicit consent through Argentinian banks and goes back **24 months.**
It draws on two sources:
The Central Bank of Argentina
Banking and financial institutions in Argentina
The data includes debts, loans and overdrafts owed to banks and financial or credit institutions. The results are provided in Spanish, and Zinc's report is generated in English.
## What does the report include? ##
The report includes the candidate's:
- Personal information, including full name, date of birth, ID number, gender, and address
- Summary of credit records
- Credit history
The credit history shows each payment delay or non-payment by month over the last 24 months, along with:
- Type of credit
- Days of delay
- Type of delay or non-payment
## Records found
The case closes with a summary of the report, including each bad payment record, the source, and a component clearance of **REVIEW**.
If records are found, each record shows:
- Case type
- Case date
- Dispute amount
- Dispute amount type
- Status
- Identifiers
## How often is the information updated? ##
- Banking and financial institution data is updated monthly.
- The Central Bank of Argentina publishes its information every two months, so very recent changes may not appear straight away.
## Restrictions, exclusions, and limitations
- Debts to banks and credit institutions only. Any other type of debt is not included, in line with Argentinian data protection law.
- Debts expire after 5 years. Information about an expired debt still appears for 24 months after its expiry date.
- NOSIS gives the total amount of the debt and its status, but not the type of debt.
- Status is based on the length of delay: Level 1 (up to 30 days), Level 2 (90 days), Level 3 (91 to 180 days), Level 4 (up to 180 days), Level 5 (365 days), and Level 6 (365 days, decreed by the Central Bank).
- Open or Closed only. NOSIS does not say whether a debt was paid, only that it is no longer active. A status of "0.0" in a given month means the debt was closed at that time, but not why (for example, payment or settlement).
- Cheques: only cheques rejected for insufficient funds or for formatting errors ("defecto de formato") are included.
- No sharing outside the consent given. The report also contains the candidate's address and their inclusion in insurance funds. This is not credit information, so the report cannot be shared with another party beyond the consent given for a credit check.
- Candidate rights: candidates can ask NOSIS for a list of the organisations that have checked their profile. Many checks from organisations that are not banks or financial institutions do not affect creditworthiness.
