How Do I Add a Character Reference?
Character references can **only** be added inside of non-employment periods **if** your employer has requested you to provide them for non-employment periods of: **Unemployment, Traveling, or Other**.
You will not be able to add character references if this is not requested by your employer.
After you add in your non-employment period of **Unemployment, Traveling, or Other**, you will be asked to provide any documentation of this period.
This is optional but recommended if possible.
After this step, you will be requested to **Provide a character referee to validate this time period** which is where you can add in a **character reference**.
You will need to provide the following information:
**Their full name**
**Their email address**
**Their mobile phone number (optional)**
**What is your relationship to the referee?**
**When did you first meet them? (optional)**
After providing those details, click **Next**.
You will then need to provide your signature and you can customise the note being sent to your referee.
Click **Request reference & submit**.
Your character reference has now been submitted and they will be contacted immediately via email.
