US Credit Checks

US Credit enables companies to credit check their candidates who’s current address is in the USA. To use this check, you must: - Have a valid business reason for running the credit check (e.g. financial responsibility roles) - Understand you will need to take an adverse action process for any matches ## Is this feature automatically enabled for customers No, please speak to your Account Manager if you are interested in this check as it requires explicit acknowledgement that adverse action obligations apply to you. This is because US credit checks carry: - Strict FCRA obligations - Mandatory adverse action requirements - Legal risk if not handled correctly Before enabling: - The Account Manager will explain the importance of an adverse action process - The customer must understand that adverse action is legally required if they reject based on credit This ensures we reduce compliance risk for both Zinc and the customer. ## Can this be toggled on per individual packages rather than per company? This will run for every package where **credit is turned on** within the enabled company when the location is enabled- it cannot be toggled off for some packages that include credit within that company. ## When will a US credit check be triggered? - When the company has this setting enabled by your account manager - When a package includes a credit check - When the candidate's current address is in the US Want to know more?
