Unsupported Countries for Identity Checks
If your passport or identity document keeps being rejected or flagged as expired even though it's valid and in-date, the issuing country may not be supported by Zinc's identity verification system.
Unfortunately, we're unable to process documents issued by countries subject to comprehensive US sanctions. This includes:
- **Cuba**
- **Iran**
- **North Korea**
- **Syria**
If your document was issued by one of these countries, the system will not be able to verify it regardless of photo quality or how many times you attempt the upload.
**What to do:**
- If you have an alternative form of ID not issued by one of these countries, please use that instead.
- If you don't have an alternative, contact our Support Team directly and let your employer know — they may need to process your identity check manually outside of Zinc.
