Setting Up Cifas Checks: Membership and Integration Instructions

### Can anyone use Cifas checks? No, your company must be a member of the [Cifas Insider Threat Database](https://www.cifas.org.uk/fraud-prevention-community/member-benefits/data/itd/internal-fraud-database-principles) ### How do I start using these checks? To start sending Cifas checks you'll have to set up the membership integration. You'll only need to do this once. 1. Contact Cifas to allow Zinc to conduct Cifas checks on your behalf. Email Cifas at [memberexperiencehub@cifas.org.uk](mailto:memberexperiencehub@cifas.org.uk) with the following message and CC your account manager: _"Please give vetting specialist Zinc (1631) search permissions to membership number **insert your Cifas membership number** through Cifas API."_ 5.
