Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR): Upload Documents When You Can’t Provide a Share Code
If you have indefinite leave to remain and cannot get a share code, on the page **"Please provide a share code"** click **Get a share code**. This seems counterintuitive but this is the only way to open the submission area.
This will open the official Home Office website in a new tab.
Close the Home Office tab and **go back to the original Zinc submission page tab** (where your checks were open).
A new field will appear where you can enter your share code and just underneath this, you will see **"If you can't provide a share code, please tick the box below"**.
Tick the box next to **I'm not eligible for a share code**

You will be asked to submit alternative documents which are either
- A passport and visa (must not be expired)
- An immigration document and proof of National Insurance number
Select the option you will be providing and click **Next --> Upload document(s)**
In the next page, you will be able to provide those documents.
## For Passports
- Your passport must not be expired
- No scans or photocopies
- Ensure the document is easily readable
## For Visas
- Your visa must not be expired
- Must be inside your current passport and not a Biometric Residence Permit / Card
- Ensure the document is easily readable

- It must show your name and NI number
- Ensure the document is easily readable

Once you've added your documents into Zinc, click **Upload documents**.
Those documents will now be pending review by your employer with a **Consider** status. Don't worry - this doesn't mean there's a problem or your right to work is invalid. It simply means your employer needs to take a closer look at your documents and take notes on any dates or rules that apply to your visa.
