How Do I Know If I Have Worked in a FCA Regulated Role Before?

If you’ve **not** been worked in an FCA regulated role in the past, then **you will not have an IRN number.** You are likely to have been FCA registered if your role was directly involved customers' financial products at a **FCA registered company.** ## Examples of FCA registered roles are - Advising on or arranging mortgages or investments - Managing investments - Dealing in securities or derivatives - Being a compliance officer or MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer) - Working in regulated consumer credit (e.g., personal loans) If you are unsure, follow the [instructions](https://help.zincwork.com/hc/hm54ky7yrc/article/e41be987-what-to-do-if-you-dont-know-your-irn-number) to find your IRN number. If you’ve not worked in an FCA regulated role in the past, then you will not have an IRN number and will not be asked to provide one.
