## How to submit your criminal check in Luxembourg
### Step 1: Log in or create your Zinc account
Once your employer requests a criminal check, you’ll need to log in to your Zinc account. If you don’t already have an account, you must create one.
Once logged in, confirm the following details:
- Your full name (including name history if applicable)
- Your date of birth
- Your country of residence: Luxembourg
- Address history for the past 5 years
- Your consent
### Step 2: Provide your personal information
You will need to supply the following details to initiate the check:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Birth Date
- Consent
- **Passport/ID Copy**
- **Acceptable documents**
- A valid ID card (for both citizens and foreigners - Can be issued by Luxembourg or any EU Country)
- A Valid Luxembourg Residence permit (for foreigners)
- A valid Passport (for both citizens and foreigners)
- **Specific Authorisation Form**: a specific Power of Attorney consent form from our checking provider
- Please note that the signature can be **electronic** signature (drawn out with pen tool on PDF) or **wet** signature (signed with a pen).
- Fill in the mandatory fields: Name, First Name, Date of Birth, Address, Locality, Country and Postal Code.
- Please note that the address provided should be the registered address of the candidate, otherwise the check will be rejected by the authority.
- Under the Specific Authorisation Form, if the applicant does not currently stay in Luxembourg, the applicant can change the country from Luxembourg to the respective country.
- In the number of extracts desired section, mark **1**
- Always select **Bulletin no 3**
- **Specific Application Form**
- Please note that the signature can be **electronic** signature (drawn out with pen tool on PDF) or **wet** signature.
- Fill in the mandatory fields: Name, First Name, Date of Birth, Address, Locality, Country and Postal Code.
- Please note that the address provided should be the registered address of the candidate, otherwise the check will be rejected by the authority.
- If the applicant does not currently stay in Luxembourg, the current address of the residing country should be used.
- The Certificate should be always **Bulletin No 3**
- Always mention the 'Supporting document' attached
Ensure that all the information provided is accurate to avoid delays in processing.
### Step 3: Submit your application and get your results
Once all your information has been provided correctly to Zinc, the application will be submitted. If we do have any issues, our Support Team will let you know through email with instructions on what you need to do.
The average turnaround time is 16 business days but results can come back much sooner in as little as a few days.
When the results are ready, you will be notified automatically via email by Zinc and the results will be available on Zinc for your new employer.
