How to Raise a Financial Hardship Request During an Enhanced DBS Check
If you are undergoing an Enhanced DBS check and are experiencing financial hardship or your employment is at risk, you may be eligible to raise a hardship request with DBS. This is applicable if your DBS application has been in progress for more than 28 days and is currently at Stage 4 with the Local Police Force.
To proceed, you will need to provide evidence supporting your hardship claim. Acceptable evidence includes correspondence from your employer stating that you must receive your DBS certificate by a specific date, or proof of your current financial arrears.
To submit your hardship evidence, please email it to customer.services@dbs.gov.uk. This process allows DBS to consider your financial or employment-related hardship while your Enhanced DBS check is being processed.
