## What is covered in the financial integrity check?
The Financial Integrity verification process in Brazil provides a credit report from the Credit Protection Service of Brazil (Serviço de Proteção ao Crédito, SPC Brasil) and Serasa, which is another publicly authorised credit bureau in the jurisdiction. SPC is managed by trade associations and commercial directors and collaborates with Serasa on a regular basis.
The credit report provided by the sources is focused on overdue and unpaid debts, protested securities in all registered offices in Brazil, cheques without funds, stolen/lost customer credit cards, as well as all credit-related information reported by companies associated with the SPC. Generally, the information goes back to 2010, with some earlier cases also being available. The check is national.
Note: The check does not affect the creditworthiness or reduce the candidate's credit score. Only source consultations for **granting credit** affect the score.
