How to Prove Your Right to Work in the UK as an Asylum Seeker or Refugee
To prove your right to work in the UK as asylum seeker or refugee, you must present your application registration card (ARC) to your employer if you’re waiting for a decision on an asylum application. If you have a share code, you can use this to prove your right to work in the UK.
A share code can be provided into Zinc by using the steps [here](https://help.zincwork.com/hc/hm54ky7yrc?articleId=d1e9c772-7872-49eb-b01c-981c1cfa524f).
For an ARC card, your employer will then need to [use the Home Office’s Employer Checking Service (ECS)](https://www.gov.uk/employee-immigration-employment-status) to check your right to work. **This process can't be completed via Zinc as your employer has to complete this process themselves.**
After your employer has completed this process, they can send the ECS Positive Verification Notice to Zinc through email or live chat, allowing us to upload it to Zinc as evidence of your right to work on the platform.
Your employer will then make another check on your status in 6 months time.
