What “Consider” and “In verification” Mean on Reference Status Tags
- **“In verification”** means the check is currently in the process of being verified and progressed. It has started and it’s in progress, but it is not yet completed.
This status has been applied, but there’s no need for concern. Everything is in process and **there’s no action required from you** unless you want to check with your referee directly to see if they've received the reference request.
- A **“Consider”** tag which you will see in pink means the reference has been completed, however there is further information that needs to be evaluated by your new employer.
It **doesn’t necessarily mean anything is negative*, but your employer may ask for further details from you to support their evaluation.
