Section 128 Checks as Part of an Enhanced DBS Check
For governance or management roles in independent schools, academies and free schools, a Section 128 check can be part of the Enhanced DBS check process.
Within Zinc, when you set up Enhanced DBS checks, you configure job roles that determine the required barred lists, including those covering Section 128 checks where applicable.
Specifically for a Section 128 check, it relates to the wording in the position applied for, so in order for a Section 128 check to be triggered the position would need to include **Independent School (along with the position)**.
**This is the only way a Section 128 check is triggered**.
