Ireland: Acceptable Documents for Right to Work Verification

To perform a right to work check in Ireland, the following documents can be accepted: ## Natural Citizens - **Irish Passport** - **EEA and Swiss Passports** - **National Identity Card** ## Foreign Nationals ### EEA and Swiss Nationals **Identity Cards** - **EU 1 - Residence Card** - **EU 2 - Permanent Residence Card** ### Non-EEA and Swiss Nationals - **General Employment Permit** - **Long-Term Residence Permit** - **Critical Skills Employment Permit** - **Permanent Residence Card for Non-EU Families** - **Irish Residence Permit (IRP)** (the right to work would depend on the IRP stamp type, see below) All of these documents can be uploaded securely through Zinc. ## Irish Residence Permit stamp types - **IRP with Stamp 1G, RTW granted without an employment permit** [For family members of certain employment permit holders]. - **IRP with Stamp 2, RTW part-time (20 hours) during college terms and full time during college holidays** [For Students]. - **IRP with Stamp 4EUFAM, RTW granted without an employment permit** [For family members of EU/EEA citizens]. - **IRP with Stamp 4, RTW granted without an employment permit** to those who have been given permission to live in Ireland: - As a refugee, following an application for international protection. - With subsidiary protection, following an application for international protection. - With leave to remain, following an application for international protection. - As the spouse, partner or dependent family member of an Irish citizen. - As the parent of an Irish citizen child. - As the family member of an EEA citizen. - Because you have long term residency. - Following an appeal against a decision to deport you (under Section 3 of the Immigration Act 1999).
