Does Zinc Have Access to My Tax Authority Login?
To use the Employment Verification feature, Zinc is partnered with Mistho, who have built a direct API integration with each tax authority we offer such as HMRC, EPFO, and Revenue Online Service.
When you enter your login details on Zinc, it is functionally equivalent to entering your login details directly into the tax controller's portal in a pop-up window.
Although you are interacting with the Zinc interface, the underlying system is directly linked to the tax authority and **Zinc does not store or process your login details**.
Additionally, Mistho uses a session-based verification process in which they also never store your login details. The only data pulled from the tax authority by Mistho is your employment and income data (such as if you were receiving unemployment income for a period of time) which is then passed to Zinc and appears in the report and specifically enabled in our configuration.
