End of contract with Zinc: exit process, data export, and deletion
## End-of-contract process
At the end of the contract, whether at natural expiry or following early termination, Zinc supports a structured and orderly exit designed to minimise disruption and avoid supplier lock-in. On receipt of written notice in line with the contract terms, Zinc acknowledges the request promptly and agrees an exit timetable with the customer. Progress is managed through regular check-ins to ensure risks are identified and resolved early.
Zinc continues to deliver screening services, support and agreed service levels until the contract end date. Exit activities are planned so customers can maintain safe and compliant screening throughout the transition period.
## Data access, transfer, and deletion
All screening data remains the customer’s property. As part of exit, Zinc agrees a data download window and provides customer data and reports in commonly used, open formats suitable for onward use or migration. Data is transferred securely and Zinc will cooperate with any successor supplier or an in-house team where required. Following confirmation that data has been retrieved, Zinc securely deletes customer data in line with data protection and information security obligations, providing confirmation on request.
## Pricing and additional costs
Standard exit planning, service continuity, data extraction, secure transfer, and handover support are included in the contract price at **no additional cost**. Any **non-standard or additional support** requested beyond the agreed exit scope would be discussed and agreed in advance and charged at the contracted rates.
