How to Integrate Zinc with Pinpoint and Run Background Checks
**Please note that CV checks are only available directly on Zinc. Pinpoint cannot currently be used with packages containing CV checks.**

## Step 1: Generate your API key
1. Sign in to Zinc or create an account if you haven’t already.
2. Navigate to **Account > Company**, then click **"Generate API Key"** and copy this.

## Step 2: Paste the Zinc API key into Pinpoint
1. In **Pinpoint**, navigate to **Settings > Integrations**.
2. Select **App** and search for **Zinc**.
3. Click on **Zinc** and paste your **Zinc API key** into Pinpoint.

## Step 3: Run background checks from Pinpoint
1. Choose a **live job** and select a candidate.
2. Click on the **three dots** next to the candidate’s name.
3. Select **"Zinc Background Check"**.
4. Choose the check package you require and click **"Send Invite"** to request the check.

## What happens next
**Let Zinc work**
Zinc will contact your candidate via email and text, asking them to complete the background checks you have chosen. We will send automated reminders to ensure that you get your checks in good time.

You can view the status of each candidate’s checks in your ATS. We’ll notify you by email as soon as an individual check is completed..

View your candidate reports directly from your ATS to make better hiring decisions without leaving your ATS or HRIS.
