Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC): Acceptable Documents for Right to Work Verification
To perform a right to work check in The Democratic Republic of the Congo, the following documents can be accepted:
## Natural Citizens
- **DRC Passport**
- **Carte d’électeur (Voter Card)**
(Many Congolese still do not have National Identity Cards due to political, institutional and infrastructure-related instability. The Voter Card (along with the DRC passport) remains the most widespread proof of RTW in the country.)
## Foreign Nationals
- **Valid Work Permit (+ valid Work Visa)**
(NB: Work Visas will not be granted without valid Work Permits.
Visa Types:
- **Visa d’Etablissement de Travail (VET)**
- For non-national employees with contracts at a company registered in the country. Depending on the contract, a standard permit will be valid for one to two years.
- **Visa d’Etablissement de Travail Spécifique (VETS) - Work-specific visa**
- For non-national employees planning a temporary stay in the country for specific work. This is a one-year visa. This option is non-renewable.)
All of these documents can be uploaded securely through Zinc.
