How to Submit a Sanctions Check

To submit your sanction check, you will need to confirm your full name and date of birth like below after confirming your details on Zinc. ![how-to-submit-a-sanctions-check-1](https://storage.googleapis.com/public-fini-assets/zincwork_hc_images/how-to-submit-a-sanctions-check-1.png) Once submitted, the check will be processed by our checking provider. You can find the average turnaround time of this check [here](https://zincwork.com/turnaround-times). After this check is processed, you will either receive a **Consider** or **Clear** result. A **Clear** result means nothing was found. A **Consider** result means there was some matches found that your employer needs to review. It's possible to get false positives on this type of check since they can just be matched on location, name, and birth year. We are unable to provide additional details regarding those matches to you, as we do not disclose sensitive information that may not belong to you in the event that it is a false positive. You can find out more on the false positive process [here](https://help.zincwork.com/hc/hm54ky7yrc/article/6787a101-what-to-do-if-you-get-a-match-on-your-sanctions-check). Once the check has been reviewed, it is completed and no further action is required.
