## Who is the source of financial integrity check data in Poland? National Register of Debtors ## What is the process in Poland? The requesting party will request the check from the ATS or their Zinc account. 1. Automated instructions are delivered to provide some personal details in a dynamic web form. 2. Zinc submits the request to the authorities. 3. Zinc received the results (digitally) and provides a signed digital report. 4. The candidate receives a notification to say the process is completed. ## What details are required to submit the check? - **First Name** - **Last Name** - **Birth Date** - **Consent** - **Government ID Number** - PESEL Number (11 digits; e.g.: 85062412345) OR NIP Number (10 digits; e.g.: 1234567890) - Please note that this check can **only** be conducted for Polish citizens who have a PESEL number **or** for foreigners who have a NIP number. - While Polish citizens all have a PESEL, some may also have a NIP if they are involved in business or tax-related activities. Foreigners require a NIP to perform this check. - The Polish or foreign passport number **cannot** be used to conduct this check. ## What is covered in the financial integrity check? Zinc accesses the National Register of Debtors [Krajowy Rejestr Zadłużonych (KRZ)] to conduct Adverse Financial verification in Poland. The process provides financial default information on citizens and foreigners lawfully residing in Poland, extracted by a local partner, with the explicit consent of the individual. The process is national and the data includes information on Consumers involved in bankruptcy, business prohibition proceedings, Judicial cases, case status updates, including applications, court orders, etc. The verification is conducted with the highest compliance standards, in accordance with applicable laws. ## What is the period covered by the check? The source provides coverage starting from December 1, 2021 onward. ## Is there any potential candidate footprint? The verification will leave a soft footprint on the candidates credit profile. The verification will not affect the candidate’s credit worthiness. ## Restrictions, Exclusions, Limitations - Due to privacy laws, there may be restrictions on accessing case information when the parties involved have explicitly prohibited public disclosure. - Please note that this check can only be conducted for Polish citizens who have a PESEL number and for foreigners who have a NIP number. While Polish citizens all have a PESEL, some may also have a NIP if they are involved in business or tax-related activities. Foreigners require a NIP to perform this check. The Polish or foreign passport number cannot be used to conduct this check. - In the event that a record is found, the following legal disclaimer will accompany the result to reflect data-sharing limitations: _"As per Article 26(1) of the Polish Act on the Provision of Economic Information and Exchange of Economic Data of April 9, 2010, we cannot provide further information. The law explicitly prohibits the disclosure of economic information about consumers received from the bureau to third parties. An entity that has received such information about a consumer debtor from the bureau may not disclose it to others. This does not apply to the bureau's disclosure of information received from another bureau."_ - Please note that every check leaves a footprint in the inquiry register, which the individual concerned can access. This footprint is considered a soft inquiry and does not affect the individual's credit score, unlike checks conducted by financial or leasing institutions. - The credit report cannot be shared with third parties in accordance with Polish legislation. ## What is the expected turnaround time?
