How to Set Up Customised Requirements for Regulatory References in Zinc
For the care industry, you may need to have additional custom requirements for references to satisfy your organisation's requirements. With Zinc, we make it simple to set up additional requirements to fit your needs and specify them clearly, ensuring important details are not overlooked by your candidates.
## How to set up additional requirements
1. Select a package you would like to use with references enabled.
2. Scroll down to the References section in the package editor to the **Regulatory reference** type.
3. Click on **Setup** next to **Additional Requirements Setup**.
4. Toggle on **Collect historical regulated role references**.
5. Add your requirement for candidates where indicated. For example:
- References for every care role you have held since school
- References should be company emails, rather than individuals
6. You can add more than one by clicking.
7. Once added, close the tab and click **Save check package** at the bottom of the package editor page to save those requirements.
8. If you need to add any new requirements or delete/edit a requirement, go back into the individual package and click **Edit** next to **Additional Requirements Setup**.
## For candidates
When candidates are filling in regulatory references, if you have filled in additional requirements, they will be shown those requirements in a clear bullet point list at the top of the Regulatory Reference page inside the **Requirements** section.
Once the regular minimum requirements have been filled, the candidate will be prompted to check if they have fulfilled all the requirements set by you, and allowed to submit additional references.
The reference check will be completed once the normal **minimum** number of references/duration of references has been completed but we will still attempt to complete all references provided to Zinc.
