What To Do When You Are Notified That Your Identity Check Has Failed
Don't worry — this happens for a range of reasons, and most are quick to fix.
If your identity check is part of a UK DBS criminal record check and your name or date of birth doesn't match what's on your identity document, we'll automatically ask you to go back through the **Confirm your details** steps and correct it. You'll see exactly what didn't match before you're asked to re-enter anything — no need to contact your employer for this.

If the check keeps failing, your employer will step in — they may ask you to try again or verify your documents face to face.
