How to Provide Your UK Civil Status Document for Your Right to Work Check
For our digital right to work check in the UK, a valid UK passport is a requirement for submitting this check. However, you may not have a valid UK/Irish passport (and where requested a UK driving license) and only have your UK/Irish Birth Certificate or UK/Irish Adoption Certificate to verify your identity.
When you complete your right to work check, select **No** to the question 'Can you provide a passport?'.
Once you press Next, you will be able to provide your UK/Irish Birth Certificate or UK/Irish Adoption Certificate as well as a proof of National Insurance such as your P45, P60, payslip, HMRC/benefits letter.
Please note that because these documents need to be verified manually by your employer, there’s some extra steps involved by your employer before your right to work check is completed.
Once these documents are provided onto Zinc, you should make a time with your employer to have these documents reviewed in person.
