What to Do If You Get a Match on Your Sanctions Check

It's possible to get false positives on this type of check since they can just be matched on location, name, and birth year. We are unable to provide additional details regarding those matches to you, as we do not disclose sensitive information that may not belong to you in the event that it is a false positive. ## Next steps In this case, your employer will analyse if such matches relate to you or not. - They will do that by crossing the information found on the matches with your personal information such as your name and date of birth. - They can also request you to provide proof of the time period shown on the matches (where you were living/working). Once they've conducted this analysis, they will inform you directly of their decision and any next steps.
