All digital signatures are accepted except a typed name. - For the question **Is the regulated workplace/remote workplace in Scotland?**, this is a yes/no question and is asking if where you are physically or remotely working is in Scotland. If you are working in Scotland, please answer this question as yes, it is irrelevant where the company is based. If you are not working in Scotland, our support team will contact you via email for your details to complete a DBS application on your behalf once you've submitted this application. Ensure that all the information provided is accurate to avoid delays in processing. ### Step 3: Submit the check on Zinc Once all your information is provided, the check will be processed by our checking partner. If something else is required or there is a discrepancy, our Customer Support team here at Zinc will contact you directly to get your application corrected or gather further information from you. ### Step 4: Receive the results of your check You will receive an **Online Certificate** via your Disclosure Scotland account, with a notification sent to your registered email address to create a DS account and view your certificate from Disclosure Scotland. This certificate can be viewed for 14 days once completed and can be shared with your employer if needed within this time window. After this time window, the certificate can no longer be shared. When Disclosure Scotland asks for an email address and phone number for you to share your Online Certificate/Disclosure, you will need to enter the employer’s contact details (i.e., whoever you want to share the certificate with). You do not need to forward/share the Online Certificate to Zinc in this step, as the results are received via our provider checking this system directly. Upon completion of your criminal check and when the results have been received on our side, you will receive a notification to say the process is completed on Zinc.
