How to Check the Progress of Your Background Checks as a Candidate via Your Zinc Account
Firstly you will need to ensure you are signed into your Zinc account, you can do this by visiting https://app.zincwork.com/ and clicking **Sign in**.
You can also access your Zinc account by finding your original background check request email from Zinc and logging in through the link in that email.
Once signed into your account, visit the [Notifications](https://app.zincwork.com/notifications) tab. Here, you will see all of the notifications linked to your account like check completions, matches and reference information.
If you click on any of these notifications, you will be brought to your [Profile](https://app.zincwork.com/profile).
On this page, you can review the following checks if you've been requested then after they've been completed:
- **Reference**
- **Qualification**
- **Address Verification**
- **Adverse Financial**
- **Identity Verification**
- **Adverse Media**
- **Politically Exposed Persons**
- **Right to Work**
- **Sanctions**
**Other checks you may have completed are not visible such as the Criminal check.**
If you click **View check progress** inside of your profile on the right hand side of the page, this will open up a side panel so you can see the checks that need further action either from you or your employer.
For example, you may see that your **Criminal check** is currently requiring some action from your **employer** to **review your original DBS certificate details** before your Update Service criminal check can be processed. You may need to make a time with them directly to have this reviewed.
You can also see any checks that are remaining for you to complete and by clicking **Submit checks**, you will automatically be taken to your submission page to complete this.
If there's no checks under **Awaiting Candidate**, that means you've completed all of your checks.
We'll send you emails regarding the progress of your each of your checks and once all your checks are completed. With each email, you can click the link within the email to view the information provided.
