How to Check the Progress of Your Background Checks as a Candidate
Sign in to your Zinc account at https://app.zincwork.com/ to view your check progress.
You can also access your Zinc account by finding your original background check request email from Zinc and logging in through the link in that email.
Once signed into your account, visit the [Notifications](https://app.zincwork.com/notifications) tab. Here, you will see all of the notifications linked to your account like check completions, matches and reference information.
If you click on any of these notifications, you will be brought to your [Profile](https://app.zincwork.com/profile).
On your profile, you can review the following checks once they have been completed, if they were included in your request:
- **Reference**
- **Qualification**
- **Address Verification**
- **Adverse Financial**
- **Identity Verification**
- **Adverse Media**
- **Politically Exposed Persons**
- **Right to Work**
- **Sanctions**
**Other checks you may have completed are not visible such as the Criminal check.**
## Check what still needs to be done
Click **View check progress** on the right-hand side of your profile to see checks that need action from you or your employer.
For example, you may see that your **Criminal check** is currently requiring some action from your **employer** to **review your original DBS certificate details** before your Update Service criminal check can be processed. You may need to make a time with them directly to have this reviewed.
From your profile in the **View check progress** panel, you can also see any checks that are remaining for you to complete. By clicking **Submit checks**, you will automatically be taken to your submission page to complete this.
An empty **Awaiting Candidate** section means you have no tasks listed there. Your other checks may still be processing or awaiting employer review. Check their individual statuses for progress.
We'll email you about the progress of your checks and when all your checks are completed. With each email, you can click the link within the email to view the information provided.
