Old to New Zinc Request Statuses: What Has Changed and What They Mean

You may have noticed that a few of the statuses you know may look a bit different. To help you out, we've provided a guide on these new changes until you are an expert on these new statuses! ## Not started is now requested One of the first changes is that the request status of **Not Started** is now **Requested**. This means that the checks have been successfully sent out and Zinc has contacted the candidate to start, but the candidate has not yet begun submitting the information needed for the checks. ![old-to-new-what-statuses-have-changed-1](https://storage.googleapis.com/public-fini-assets/zincwork_hc_images/old-to-new-what-statuses-have-changed-1.png) ## Pending is now split into three statuses Checks previously displaying the **Pending** request status are replaced with one of three options: **Awaiting candidate**, **In progress**, or **Attention needed**. ![old-to-new-what-statuses-have-changed-2](https://storage.googleapis.com/public-fini-assets/zincwork_hc_images/old-to-new-what-statuses-have-changed-2.png) - The **Awaiting candidate** request status indicates the candidate needs to share information for a check to begin or proceed, whether that's initial information, resubmission, or additional information for a check to proceed. ![old-to-new-what-statuses-have-changed-3](https://storage.googleapis.com/public-fini-assets/zincwork_hc_images/old-to-new-what-statuses-have-changed-3.png) - The **In progress** request status means you can sit back and relax, the checks are underway by Zinc. ![old-to-new-what-statuses-have-changed-4](https://storage.googleapis.com/public-fini-assets/zincwork_hc_images/old-to-new-what-statuses-have-changed-4.png) - The **Attention needed** request status means your action is required for the check to move forward. ![old-to-new-what-statuses-have-changed-5](https://storage.googleapis.com/public-fini-assets/zincwork_hc_images/old-to-new-what-statuses-have-changed-5.png) ## Action required is now ready for review Once those checks have completed, you may notice that something that has come up on the checks which requires your review, so we've changed the request status to **Action required** to **Ready for review**. ![old-to-new-what-statuses-have-changed-6](https://storage.googleapis.com/public-fini-assets/zincwork_hc_images/old-to-new-what-statuses-have-changed-6.png) We've add a few more check level statuses to show you why the checks are marked as Ready for review like a reference being **Declined**, a referee **Email Bounced**, or a qualification check **Not Provided** just to name a few examples. ![old-to-new-what-statuses-have-changed-7](https://storage.googleapis.com/public-fini-assets/zincwork_hc_images/old-to-new-what-statuses-have-changed-7.png) ## Completed is now all clear When all the checks have been completed and there is nothing to review, we've changed this request status from **Completed** to **All clear**. This means that the entire group of checks on the request is fully completed, and the report has been compiled with no issues found with the checks. ![old-to-new-what-statuses-have-changed-8](https://storage.googleapis.com/public-fini-assets/zincwork_hc_images/old-to-new-what-statuses-have-changed-8.png) This status means that you can move forward in whatever next steps you have in your onboarding and checking processes, and be safe in the knowledge that the checks are all done and have passed as clear.
