What Types of References Can Be Requested?
Your prospective employer can either request
- **a number of references**
- **number of years of employment history**
- **OR a number of references and a number of years of employment history**
## Number of references
This requires you to provide the contact (name and company email address) details for the number of referees requested.
## Number of years
You need to verify a period of time, for example, references for your past 3 years of employment.
## Both criteria
When your employer uses both criteria, you will be asked to provide contact details for the number of referees requested **and** provide references for a specific period of time.
