What Documents Are Accepted for Identity Check in Nigeria?
Important scope: This article is only for a standalone Zinc identity check where the check/document country is Nigeria. It does not apply to UK DBS, UK criminal record, CRB, Basic DBS, Standard DBS, or Enhanced DBS digital identity verification. For UK DBS, Nigerian passports are not on the accepted DBS passport nationality list and must not be described as accepted.
For the identity check, not the right to work check, the following documents issued in Nigeria can be used:
- **Passport**
- **Driving License**
- **National Identity Card**
Make sure to take a clear photo of just one valid ID document.
- Double check that we can see all the text clearly.
- Include all four corners of the document in your photo.
- Please don't take a photo of your computer screen or use scanned copies - we need a live photo of the actual document.
If you're using a driver's license or national ID card, we'll need photos of both the front and back sides.
