What to Do If You Can’t Complete the Reference Questionnaire
We encourage you to complete the questionnaire if you can as the questionnaire can provide further details about a candidate than just verifying their employment.
If you didn’t get a questionnaire when completing a reference, it’s likely because the reference wasn’t a regulatory reference (only regulatory references require a questionnaire), or because you exited after verifying the candidate’s employment details.
If you are unable to complete the entire questionnaire or complete the questionnaire at all on a reference request, you can always exit the questionnaire **after** verifying the candidate's employment details.
The verified details will be saved on the reference and available for their new employer to review.
The only required questionnaire is for regulatory references where you should provide a response if possible in Zinc or in an email reply with the required details for the reference request if you cannot add these into Zinc.
