Cayman Islands: Acceptable Documents for Right to Work Verification

To perform a right to work check in the Cayman Islands, the following documents can be accepted. ### Natural Citizens - **Cayman Islands Passport*** - **Current Cayman Islands Voter Registration Card** - **Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman (WORC) Acknowledgment / Confirmation Letter** - **Caymanian Status Certificate / Certificate of the Right to be Caymanian** - **Stamp in a Valid Passport Indicating the Caymanian Status** - **The Candidate’s Birth Certificate AND Parents’ Birth Certificates reﬂecting the parents’ birthplace AND Proof of Parents’ Citizenship AND Parents’ Marriage Certificate if parents were married at the time of the candidate’s birth.** ### Foreign Nationals - **Work Permit Grant/ Gainful Occupational Licence (GOL)** - **Temporary Work Permit** - **Business Visitors Permit (BVP)** - **Visitors Work Visa (VWV)** - **Residency Certificate (Substantial Business Presence)** - **Certificate of Direct Investment** - **Special Economic Zone Authority Work Permit**** - **Business Staffing Plan Work Permit** - **Certificate of Permanent Residence for Persons of Independent Means plus Variation of Permanent Residence***** - **Residence and Employment Rights Certification (RERC)** All of these documents can be uploaded securely through Zinc. ## Notes _*Candidate must have been born in the Cayman Islands on or before 27th March 1977._ _**Available to employees of Special Economic Zone Companies only._ _***The holder or spouse can apply for a variation to the Certificate in order to obtain the right to work in the Cayman Islands._
