Can Zinc Verify Birth Certificates and National Insurance Proof for UK Right to Work Checks?
Birth Certificates and National Insurance proof can be accepted in the UK for Right To Work checks, however the Home Office requires employers to inspect these documents in person to complete the check.
Zinc will flag when these documents are uploaded by candidates for the Right to Work check with a red **Action required** tag on the check.
Once you have reviewed these documents manually in person, you can confirm you have manually reviewed them on Zinc, by clicking into the Right to Work check to confirm the verification or inside progress bar on the right hand side of the report.

Once verified on Zinc, the Right to Work check will show a **All** **Clear** status and a tick box to prove the verification.

You can also download copies of these documents from the report on Zinc, but you will need to check the original physical documents and conduct a face to face inspection in order to gain your statutory excuse.
