Criminal Checks for Candidates in UK Crown Dependencies and Scotland

If a candidate is employed in **any** sector and they are working/residing in any of the territories below, they would need the right level of check from the corresponding local authority or, where acceptable instead, DBS. If a candidate is employed in a **regulated** sector, and they’re moving to work & reside in England or Wales, but are currently not, they will need to get Enhanced DBS (via DBS) with or without barred lists. ## England and Wales We offer three different criminal checks in for candidates working/residing in England & Wales: - **Basic DBS** (via England & Wales DBS) - **Standard DBS** (via England & Wales DBS) - **Enhanced DBS** (via England & Wales DBS) ## Scotland We currently offer only the following for Scotland criminal checks: - **Basic Disclosure** (via Disclosure Scotland) We do not offer at this time **Standard Disclosure - Level 2** (via Disclosure Scotland), **Enhanced Disclosure** (non-PVG), or **PVG Scheme membership** (for regulated activity) checks. ## Northern Ireland We currently offer only the following for Northern Ireland criminal checks: - **Basic Check** (via AccessNI) We do not offer at this time **Standard Check** (via AccessNI) or **Enhanced Check** (via AccessNI). ## Jersey We offer two different criminal checks in Jersey: - Basic DBS (via England & Wales DBS) - Standard DBS (via England & Wales DBS) We do not offer at this time **Enhanced Check** via Jersey Vetting Unit. ## Guernsey We offer two different criminal checks in Guernsey: - Basic DBS (via England & Wales DBS) - Standard DBS (via England & Wales DBS) We do not offer at this time **Enhanced Check** via Guernsey Vetting Bureau (DBS-linked). ## Isle of Man We offer two different criminal checks in Isle of Man: - Basic DBS (via England & Wales DBS) - Standard DBS (via England & Wales DBS) We do not offer at this time **Enhanced Check** via IoM Vetting Bureau (DBS-linked).
