## Who is the source of credit check data in Germany? Experian - Germany ## What is the process in Germany? The requesting party will request the check from the ATS or their Zinc account. 1. The candidate receives automated instructions to provide some personal details and complete an authorisation form in a dynamic web form. 2. Zinc submits the request to the authorities. 3. Zinc receives the results (digitally) and provides a signed digital report. 4. The candidate receives a notification to say the process is complete. ## What details are required to submit the check? - First Name - Last Name - Birth Date - Consent - **Address** - Current or last known address in Germany - **Town** - Current or last known address in Germany - **Postcode** - Current or last known address in Germany - **Specific Authorisation Form** - Signature's time limit is 12 months ## What is covered in the credit check? The Financial Integrity verification process in Germany provides credit checks on private individuals citizens of and/or lawfully residing in Germany, through the authorised German credit bureau Experian. The information accessed is on the bad payment and/or non-payment history of individuals above 18 years of age. The timespan covered depends on the sub-sources: court data dates 30 years back, whereas debt collection and account data date 3 years back. It covers the following authorities and institutions: - data from the Deutsche Bundesbank, as gathered by Experian - all local first-instance courts in Germany The process is national and the check does not affect the creditworthiness or credit score of the individual. The data collected includes the following information: - personal identifiers (name, address, date of birth) - debt collection procedures - court judgments - public negative records (open and closed) - insolvency procedures ## Restrictions, Exclusions, Limitations: - The credit report cannot be shared with another party, as additional information is available on the credit report, which is not subject to the consent provided for the purposes of a credit check. ## What is the period covered by the check? - 30 years back for court data - 3 years back for debt collection and account data ## Is there any potential candidate footprint?
