Do I Need a Qualification Certificate or Proof of Study Document for Qualification Checks?

In certain countries like the United Kingdom, some form of documentation is required to process a qualification check. If you cannot find your certificate, we recommend contacting your institution to request a proof of study document, letter, or transcript, as these can be accepted. ## If the "I am unable to provide proof of studies" option is shown Select **"I am unable to provide proof of studies"** in the document type dropdown. The check can still continue, but not providing a document may delay the check by **2-4 weeks** due to institutional processing times. ![zincwork_hc_images/do-i-need-a-qualification-certificate-or-proof-of-study-document-1.png](https://storage.googleapis.com/public-fini-assets/zincwork_hc_images/do-i-need-a-qualification-certificate-or-proof-of-study-document-1.png) ## If the option/button is not shown, or a document is required Download this [**consent form**](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iZE1mEqpY6O63U0SEEo-VQSZsFwmwuRc/view?usp=sharing), complete it fully, **hand-sign** it, and upload it in place of your certificate or proof of studies. If a document type is requested, select **Other**. You can use your student number for the ID number. ![Do I Need a Qual Cert 3](https://zinc-fini-resource-storage.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/Do+I+Need+a+Qual+Cert+3.png) The candidate is **not required to pay** for submitting a consent form. Where requested, additional consent forms are used because the institution requires this authorisation in order to proceed with verifying the qualification. ## If your form asks for an academic referee This guidance is only for qualification checks. If your form asks for an academic referee, referee name, referee email, or details for a former professor, tutor, lecturer, or academic contact, that is a separate reference requirement. Qualification documents such as certificates, transcripts, proof of study letters, or student IDs do not automatically replace an academic referee requirement.
