CV Check: What It Is, How It Works, and Why to Use It

## What Is the CV Check? The CV Check allows you to instantly verify references against a candidate's CV. This minimises avoidable mistakes, gives you instant results, and ensures consistency. ## What Does the CV Check Do? Once a CV is uploaded on a request, the roles, companies, and dates are extracted instantly from the CV. Zinc will then take a look at your package with your reference check and extract the number or duration of references required from this. After the candidate accesses their checks, they are prompted to add references for each of their CV entries according to your reference criteria. If a candidate removes or edits any details pulled from their CV, they are required to provide reasoning as to why. Once a candidate has added in their references, those results are shared with you instantly with explanations from the candidate on any mismatches. Any reference requests that are sent to a referee to complete, will also be available once completed to show you a clear comparison between the candidate’s CV, what the candidate inputted, and what the referee confirmed. ## Why Should We Use Them? Instead of manually checking a candidate’s CV line by line to find discrepancies, compare these to their references, and compare these to a candidate’s job application, results are immediately available all in the same place allowing you to easily review these details. CV checks save lots of time on the review process, reduce manual efforts for internal resourcing teams, and reduce the chance of human error.
